World-renowned French pianist Hélène Grimaud founded the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem, New York, one of North America's premier wolf sanctuaries and breeding programs. Grimaud grew up with wolves in Florida, a relationship that altered her relationship to sound, silence and wildness. The Center hosts 40+ wolves, runs educational programs for 4,000+ school children/year and has contributed to wild wolf reintroduction programs.
