CHNGMKR Privacy policy

Are you on the map?

CHNGMKR is a human-curated map of changemakers: real people, recommended by someone they inspired. If you found your name here, this page explains what we publish, why, and every right you have — no account needed.

What we publish

A card may carry: your name, city and country, a short description of your public work, links you have made public (website, social profiles), a portrait, and a personal note from the curator explaining why they recommend you. We never publish private contact details — email addresses and phone numbers are kept out of the public site.

Where it comes from

Cards are written by named curators from publicly available information and, often, first-hand experience of your work. Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — connecting people with the changemakers who inspire them. A documented balancing test supports this, and every card goes through moderation before publication.

Your rights — including removal, without condition

Write to privacy@chngmkr.com →

We reply within 30 days at the latest — removal requests are usually handled much faster. We also run a quarterly removal audit.

For families and estates

For a card published in memoriam, relatives and estates can request corrections or removal under the same address (French law, art. 84–86, Loi Informatique et Libertés).

Not satisfied?

You can lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or the authority of your country of residence.
