# CHNGMKR > CHNGMKR (chngmkr.com) is a not-for-profit. A collective world map of changemakers, recommended by changemakers, free for everyone. Through Relation, we help people find inspiration, direction, and the momentum to act. It maintains a living, recommended by correspondents map of changemakers across 45+ countries. Every entry is recommended by a correspondent the changemaker inspired: no algorithm, no self-promotion, no scraping. Through real connections, CHNGMKR helps people feel inspired, find direction, and take action. ## How the map is made 1. Inspiration: the people who inspire you admire others you don't know yet. 2. Recommendation: CHNGMKR asks them to name the changemakers who matter to them. 3. Your compass: cross-referenced, the recurring names draw the map, and you can explore it through the eyes of a correspondent you trust. The map is free to browse, no account needed. Each profile is signed by the correspondent who vouched for it. ## The free account One account, the same for everyone, free. There is no paid offer on this site. A free account adds: - Save changemakers to personal lists. - Ask the map in natural language (AI search, grounded in the CHNGMKR knowledge base and correspondent recommendations, with a monthly limit so it stays available to everyone). - Send a message to a changemaker on the map: CHNGMKR carries it personally, subject to the person's availability and consent. ## How CHNGMKR is governed Correspondents share their lists: each card is signed by the person who recommends it. Everyone reads for free. Changemakers stay in charge: a card belongs to the person it describes, who can correct it or ask for its removal at any time, unconditionally, no account needed. Full rules: https://www.chngmkr.com/constitution (the CHNGMKR Constitution). Intros, the paid encounter subscription, lives at https://intros.chngmkr.com (a separate site). ## Key pages - [Home](https://www.chngmkr.com/): search the map by name, country, tag or ideas. - [Cartography](https://www.chngmkr.com/cartography): browse all changemakers; filter by collection, tag, correspondent, city or country. - [World Map](https://www.chngmkr.com/map): the world map of changemakers, city by city, with a globe view one click away. - [Places](https://www.chngmkr.com/places): the cities and destinations where changemakers are at work. - [Constitution](https://www.chngmkr.com/constitution): manifesto, methodology and how the media is governed. - [Le bureau des intros](https://www.chngmkr.com/bureau): CHNGMKR’s office in Paris (Passage de l’Homme, 26 rue de Charonne, 75011; Tuesday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm, by appointment). In Memoriam keeps the changemakers we remember. ## By collection and region, in five languages Each collection is also published by continent and by country, as soon as enough recommended profiles exist there. Every page lists the projects with the signed note of the correspondent who recommends them, in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Chinese, linked by hreflang. Examples: - [Food Transition in Europe: the projects changemakers recommend](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/food-transition/europe) · [Transition alimentaire en Europe : les projets que les changemakers recommandent](https://www.chngmkr.com/fr/directory/food-transition/europe) - [Climate Action in Africa](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/climate-action/africa) · [Co-Being in Asia](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/co-being/asia) · [Arts & Culture in the United States](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/arts-culture/usa) - Each collection page links its regions: [Food Transition](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/food-transition), [Climate Action](https://www.chngmkr.com/directory/climate-action). ## How the recommendation graph is published Every profile page carries schema.org JSON-LD with stable identifiers that do not change with the language: the profile (https://www.chngmkr.com/#entity), the correspondent who recommends it (https://www.chngmkr.com/correspondents/#person), the place with its coordinates, the collections it belongs to, and the recommendation itself (author, subject, text, and its translations). Each correspondent page lists the profiles that correspondent recommends. Read together, they say: this correspondent recommends this changemaker, in this place, for this collection. The page of a profile also carries its texts in every language they are written in: the five site languages, and the local language of the place when it has one (Breton in Brittany, Basque in the Basque Country, Guadeloupean Creole in Guadeloupe, Danish in Denmark…). ## Facts - Type: not-for-profit, a collective world map of changemakers recommended by changemakers, based in Paris, France. - Coverage: changemakers, 45+ countries, 12 correspondents; new profiles added continuously, each one moderated before publication. - Recommendation: human-only.
