JR is a French artist who creates giant photo installations on the walls of buildings, streets and informal settlements worldwide, without permission, for free. Known for Women Are Heroes (plastering favelas in Rio, trains in Nairobi), The Wrinkles of the City (global elders project), Inside Out (global participatory portrait project with 300,000+ participants). His studio is based at the historic Atelier des Archives at 2 Rue Jean-Richepin in Paris. Winner of the TED Prize 2011. Husband of Prun
