Acacias for All
Paris, France
Founder · Food
Founded by Franco-Tunisian Sarah Toumi, Acacias for All plants acacia trees in arid zones of Tunisia and sub-Saharan Africa to reverse desertification. The acacia fixes nitrogen (fertilising degraded soil), resists drought and supports biodiversity, a keystone for ecosystem restoration. Toumi created an economic model around it: women farmers grow and sell acacia-based products (gum arabic, animal feed, cosmetics), creating a virtuous cycle of reforestation and income. 3M+ trees planted, 1,500+
